Leather and wooden boxes are often chosen when you need to display or keep products for a long time. Besides appearance, the opening method, lid stability and lining should be tested with the real product.

Clarify material names on the quote

“Leather box” can refer to a box covered with genuine leather or leatherette material; Wooden boxes can also use natural wood, industrial wood or a combined structure. Require ingredients to be clearly stated, without inference from color or texture.

Save the approved surface model, color and gloss. Unify the acceptable difference in grain between models. If you want to declare origin or certification, you need records of the materials used for the order.

Test the lid, hinges, and lock together

Place the box on the table and open it as the recipient would use it. Check to see if the lid is stable, the lock is not pulled out of the way, and the accessories are not tight. Check for changes after multiple openings and closings.

DetailsQuestions to answer on the form
HingeThe lid opens smoothly, without hitting the display area?
Lock or latchIs it easy for users to find and operate?
Wrapped edgesCompact in the corner and doesn't fall apart when opening and closing?
Bottom of the boxStands firmly and doesn't scratch the table top?

The number of trials should match the expected time of use and be agreed upon by both parties. Do not take a common number as the standard for all types of boxes.

The lining needs to fit the product and be easy to clean

Test the liner in areas that come into contact with metal, glass or sharp edges. If used for storage, see how to remove the tray and clean dust. Ask for storage instructions; Do not assume that all covers are water or detergent resistant.

Identification design according to the lifespan of the box

A compact logo can be suitable for a long-lasting box. Event-based content can be placed on cards or removable paper belts. Try pressing, engraving or attaching the logo on the correct surface, and prepare a protective layer for delivery.

Finalize configuration before production

A display pen set needs a lid that does not cover the product and an easy-to-access pen tray. One-time gift sets can prioritize appearance when opened. This purpose needs to be determined before choosing accessories.
