Digitally connected packaging, often called connected packaging, leads users from the packaging to the online content. QR is the access point; The value lies in the information received and the ability to maintain the site. SquareBag suggests trying it when there is a clear customer need.
Select the content you need after scanning
Starting from instructions for use, version information or post-use handling. The page should open conveniently on the phone and answer exactly what is promised next to the code, instead of sending visitors to a generic advertising page.
Maintain address management rights
Close the right to manage domain names and addresses. If using GS1 Digital Link, it is necessary to have the correct identifier and implementation of the standard. A regular website QR may be sufficient for simple instructions, but does not satisfy retrieval requirements on its own.
| Responsibility | Need latch |
|---|---|
| Address and domain name | Who owns and maintains it when changing suppliers? |
| Content | Who updates, reviews and processes old content? |
| Check | Who checks the code and destination before each printing batch? |
Measure results according to page mission
Track visitors finding and completing tasks, not just scans. One person can scan multiple times. If personal data is collected, acknowledge the marketplace's privacy and notice requirements.
For gift sets with accessories that require installation, a short instruction page can be much more useful than sales copy. Administrators need to update the page when usage changes.
Having QR means having traceability or digital passport?
QR codes have not yet created their own traceability or digital passport functions. Those functions need their own data, processes, and requirements behind the code.
Send SquareBag the purpose of the code and landing page to coordinate print placement, instructional content, and usage testing.
